MESOTHERAPY

Mesotherapy is micro-injections of medications into the dermis or subcutaneous fat. It is usually performed by using a special mesotherapy gun to make multiple fast precise micro injections.  

 

The medications used are usually a cocktail of medications such as Vitamins, Hyaluronic Acid, skin boosters with the aim to improve skin texture, reduce pigmentation, or improve hair growth (as part of hair loss therapy). These cocktails are different depending on the goal of treatment.
 

Quite often mesotherapy treatments have not been subject of large clinical trials and as a result these treatments need to be discussed in detail with the treating physician to ensure mutual understanding of expectations and the reasoning behind the decision about any mesotherapy treatments.
